Adult Education

Adult Education takes place in many forms and venues at Gloria Dei.  For those eager to explore more about their faith we offer different opportunities as ideas present themselves.

Inquiring Minds  want to know..    The first Wednesday evening of each month, a group meets to discuss topics that we’ve wondered about or that just sound interesting.  In Inquiring Minds we’re not experts.  But it’s fun to peek “outside the box” once in a while to expose ourselves to different ideas and experiences.  The discussion that follows is always interesting, sometimes surprising, and the only rule we keep is that we are respectful of each other and our opinions, and it’s forbidden to say “How can you think that?!”

 
Hope’s Classroom – This group meets during the Sunday education hour.  This adult forum meets to discuss varied topics in different formats.  Some of our  programs are single sessions consisting of discussion of timely topics, others take place over several Sunday mornings.  Hope’s Classroom is intended to provide adults with an opportunity to grow in their faith by learning more about this complex world we live in as it relates to our Lutheran tradition.
