Confirmation is a lifelong process that begins with baptism and ends with death. Gloria Dei Lutheran Church aims to help seventh and eighth graders understand the implications of their baptism and the difference it will make in their lives as they live it out.
The confirmation program meets during the Sunday School hour each Sunday morning from 9:30AM to 10:30AM.
The confirmation program is completed after a student finishes the two years of coursework and participates in an overnight retreat at the beginning of their ninth grade year. The Rite of Affirmation of Baptism, where the confirmand accepts the promises made for them at their baptism traditionally takes place on the fourth Sunday of September each year.
